Crom74 tagged me today with this "5 things you may not know about me" meme, and I feel obliged to respond. So here we go:
5 Things You Do Not Know About me
1. I listen to Howard Stern. I dont always agree with his opinions or even enjoy some of his guests, but his show is entertaining overall.
2. I have been reading more about Islem. Paul Barrett has an interesting book called "American Islam" that talks about how varied the religion is in our country, and it expounds on this by focusing on various islamic people of note in our country.
3. I am attempting to read 50 books this year. That may be way too many, but I enjoy reading so am willing to try. Right now I am reading 3 books (and have yet to finish any of them) .
4. Only three classes left to get my masters degree. I was thinking of another masters degree but forget that!
5. I suck at programming but struggle through it anyway because I need the skill on my job. It is the thorn in my side.
Tagged by me to place their five are: lizhini, galavantiator, liberation07, anil, and tjlane.
Sure, most sequels stink, but what movie really needs a sequel?
Most people will read this and think, "What the F@#*!!", but I will say it anyway.
"Unbreakable" by M. Knight Shyamalan.
The story was good. I liked it better after comparing elements of the story against "The Rules" M. Knight went through on "The Sixth Sense" dvd, which explained his use of color. Those rules apply to "Unbreakable" but in a different manner, and M. Knight did not expound on how those rules were implemented exactly. Part of the fun was trying to figure it out for myself.
Sam L. Jackson and Bruce Willis agreed that the story wasn't complete and needed another few hours to bring things to closure.
What's the most obsessive-compulsive thing you do in a normal day?

I didn't even have to think about this. I have one too many blogs and am an email junkie. So thorough the day while I'm working I am checking email accounts, replying to blog responses, and the like. It is just a part of my routine, and it is totally acceptable to me.
Okay, we hate to ask, but... over the roll or under the roll?
OVER! Any other way is just wrong.
Would you rather go back in time or visit the future?

Definitely back in time.
There are some mistakes I would like to undo.
Happy New Year, everyone!
I cannot escape this song. In the shower, I find myself singing this song without realizing it. On the way to the gym, I'm singing it. Sitting at my desk working, I'm thinking about it or finding myself opening up iTunes to listen to it.
It's all my fault. Maybe seeing the movie twice was a mistake. :)
Today's audio injection is the disco version of the song "One Night Only" from the musical "Dreamgirls". I picked up the 2-disc soundtrack which has every song in the movie, and I haven't turned it off in a week. This song is fast and catchy, and I always see the girls perform it with all the dancers around them. The energy of that scene was fantastic.
Enjoy!
